Rachel Sassoon is the current Project Manager for the Kasanka Baboon Project. She has a BSc in Zoology from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, where her interests were in conservation and wildlife management, evolution, animal behavior and population ecology. Rachel's postgraduate work specialized in primates and human evolution, where she received an MRes in Primatology from Roehampton University, London and an MSc by Research in Biological Anthropology from Durham University. Rachel has carried out research with rhesus macaques, chacma baboons and samango monkeys in Puerto Rico and South Africa. Rachel hopes to continue her work with primates in Africa, in particular with baboons.
